Dubai seems to be the new talked about place to visit. The architecture and design is supposedly beyond anything that’s anywhere else in the world. The architects and designers are really trying to develop this land that is apart of the Middle East and have it become a tourist destination. Now the Middle East is not just known for its abundance of oil, but it also has The Burj Al Arab, the only seven star hotel in the world. While this hotel is unlike any other, it has passed the shining light to Burj Dubai, the tallest building in the world. It is still under construction, but currently stands 2,257 ft high with 160 floors. There is a long list of things that were unimaginable until they were done/being done in Dubai, including the world’s largest indoor ski slope with its own ski lift located in the Mall of the Emirates which is one of the largest malls in the world, the largest man made islands in the world and because one was not enough, they built more – The Palm Islands and the World Islands. Tall buildings, an indoor ski resort, and man-made islands are not all Dubai is going to showcase, the upcoming underwater hotel, called the Hydropolis will be another exciting and innovative attraction. This will draw architects, designers, and tourists from all over the world. It seems as though Dubai is this new place for opportunity, especially design opportunity. The possibilities have proven to be endless.
